The Kaur movement was given an opportunity to voice our opinion on the new fire arms law.

Firearms in our communities are not only a matter of organized crime, they are also a reality in domestic and sexual violence situations, where they are used to control, intimidate, and silence survivors.

Survivor safety must be part of every conversation about public safety. Too often, people trying to leave abusive situations are forced to do so under fear, financial instability, and the presence of weapons that increase risk and limit escape.

While policy changes are being introduced, the urgency remains the same. No survivor should have to wait years for systems to respond to threats they are facing today.

At the Kaur Movement, we see firsthand how violence is not abstract. It is immediate, personal, and ongoing. Safety cannot be delayed. It must be protected in real time.

Awareness is not enough. Action must include survivors. @thekaurmovement

A guilty plea doesn’t undo what was taken.

This case is a reminder that violence often has a history — one that goes unheard, unreported, or ignored.

Listening to survivors isn’t optional. It’s prevention.

Jag Bahad, acting as if nothing happened, doesn’t erase the trauma you left behind. You can sit in restaurants and carry on like it’s normal, but the truth doesn’t disappear that easily. The impact of your actions lives on in the people you hurt, and their voices aren’t going anywhere.

Stop contacting the victims. Any communication should be directed to me.

You may try to move through public spaces like nothing has happened, but accountability follows and people notice. You will be approached in public places.

Paul Brar, it is deeply irresponsible and unacceptable for you to speak publicly about Mandeep Kaur’s death without any real understanding of domestic abuse. Using your platform to discuss such a serious and sensitive issue while spreading harmful narratives shows a complete lack of awareness and accountability.

You had no right to speak on our movement or to accuse us of “ruining families.” That claim is not only false, it is dangerous. It dismisses the lived realities of survivors and contributes to the kind of victim-blaming that keeps people silent.

I gave you the opportunity to have an open discussion on your radio platform, to actually engage in a real conversation. Instead, you chose to speak about me on your own, without accountability. You couldn’t even agree to an open dialogue, likely because you had no real response when challenged directly.

Having a platform does not give you the authority to speak carelessly on issues that have life-altering consequences. What’s even more concerning is the contrast between your public statements and your behavior in person, choosing silence face-to-face, yet speaking freely when it comes to broadcasting misinformation.

Before commenting on matters of sexual and domestic abuse, take the time to educate yourself. Words carry weight, and when used irresponsibly, they can cause real harm to survivors and their families.

We will not stay silent while misinformation and victim-blaming are amplified.

Kaur Movement Reaches Parliament After 7 Years.

Years of relentless advocacy, voices that refused to be silenced are shattering barriers and taking up space where they were once ignored.

Seeing Tamara Jansen acknowledge the Kaur Movement’s work in Parliament is more than a moment—it’s a milestone.

This recognition belongs to every survivor who spoke up, every volunteer who stood firm, and every person who carried this work forward with care and courage.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported, believed, and stood beside us along the way.

Honored to present the FIRST- EVER float dedicated to Sikh Bibiya at the Surrey Nagar Kirtan. ❤️

This wouldn’t have been possible without the seva, time, and dedication of our amazing volunteers.

Thank you for standing with us and helping bring this vision to life.

A Kaur carries the Guru’s roop, intimidation doesn’t touch what is divinely anchored. Your intimidation ends where a Kaurs faith begins. @thekaurmovement

☬ The Singh Movement ☬
There are more victims.
Many are still not ready to speak publicly, and that’s okay.
Coming forward takes time, safety, and strength.
We hope that when they are ready, they feel supported, believed, and not alone.
